Outstanding achievement for 10 of our DCNC 15/U players and Head coach Brooke George who won the silver medal at today’s Association Champs Finals Day representing the NFNL 🥈

The girls played 13 games today and lost the Grand Final by 1 on the siren.

To finish the day as the second top association team in Victoria is an incredible achievement, and we are all super proud of you all!

🌧️ Game Day Update – Weather Cancellation 🌧️

Unfortunately, due to the wet weather and unsafe playing conditions, all 9&U, 11&U and NetSetGO games scheduled for today have been cancelled.

While we know our young players are always excited to hit the court, the safety of our athletes, officials, volunteers and families must come first.

We appreciate everyone's understanding and cooperation. Take the opportunity to enjoy a sleep-in, stay warm and dry, and we'll look forward to seeing everyone back on court soon!

With the forecast weather conditions for tomorrow, the Association has made the decision to modify the fixture schedule to give us the best opportunity to complete all Grand Finals under cover on Courts 1 and 2.

Grand Finals will commence from 9:00am, starting with 13 Division 5, and will continue throughout the day under the roof.

To minimise clashes for players participating in multiple age groups, we have also adjusted the 9&U and 11&U fixtures. This is particularly to support any 11&U players who are also playing in a 13&U Grand Final.

As a result:
11&U games will commence at 8:00am
9&U games will follow, with all 9&U and 11&U matches expected to conclude by approximately 11:00am

We have chosen to make these changes now to provide certainty for players and families, and to ensure everyone has adequate time to get to the courts, rather than making last-minute changes tomorrow morning.

Fixtures are currently being published on Netball Connect.

Please note that if persistent rain prevents play tomorrow morning, the 9&U and 11&U rounds will be cancelled. Medallions will still be provided regardless of whether these games proceed.

Thank you for your understanding and flexibility.

We wish all teams the very best of luck in their Grand Finals and hope the weather cooperates so we can get all games completed.

🔹The Next Step - Work in skills and strategies specific for players wanting make an impact at trials (SSV or NV) or any Rep players wanting to level up. This sessions is built by selectors who know what they are looking for.
