Batting first, the Titans wasted no time taking control of the contest. Heath β€œGuru” Horton delivered a grand final innings for the ages, blasting a remarkable 108 opening the batting, bringing up his century in just 42 balls. His incredible knock set the tone for the innings as Turners Beach piled on an imposing 8/311.

Support came throughout the order with Jakob Morris (58) and Troy Purton (48) also making strong contributions. For Don, Josh Barry was the pick of the bowlers, finishing with 3 wickets.

Facing a massive run chase, Don needed a fast start, but early wickets quickly halted any hopes of a fairytale comeback. Jakob Morris capped off a superb all-round performance with the ball, claiming 5/36, as Don struggled to build any meaningful partnerships.

Don were eventually bowled out for 78, handing Turners Beach a convincing 233-run victory and the 2025/26 A Grade Premiership.

Heath β€œGuru” Horton was deservedly named Man of the Match for his breathtaking 108 at the top of the order. 🌟

Batting first, runs were hard to come by early as the Titans took a patient approach to their innings. David Whiteley led the way with 42, anchoring the innings as Turners Beach built steadily.

With wickets in hand late, the Titans were able to accelerate, with Dwayne Smith providing a handy late boost with 25* not out to help push the total to 5/161.

In reply, Central Coast got off to a strong start, building some early partnerships with Dave Woolley top scoring with 40. At 1/106, the Crows looked well placed to chase down the target before a cluster of wickets and tightening overs brought the pressure back onto the batting side.

Central Coast eventually finished 8/151 from their allotted overs, falling 10 runs short of the target.

The wickets were shared around for Turners Beach, with Lachie Gleeson, David Whiteley and Matthew Hamilton all claiming 2 wickets each.

Despite the loss, Central Coast’s Shane Smith was named Player of the Match, finishing with 30 runs and 2 wickets.

Batting first on a fast John Carey Oval, Port Sorell proved tough to dismiss, with Lenny Lawler (60) and Stephen Casey (40) combining for a crucial second wicket partnership to lay the foundation for the innings. Penguin fought hard to pull things back late, taking regular wickets through the back end of the innings to restrict Port Sorell to 8/197 from their 45 overs.

Denzil DeVries was the pick of the Penguin bowlers with 3/38.

In reply, it was all Port Sorell early, with wickets tumbling as Penguin slumped to 6/12 and the game quickly swung firmly in sharks favour. Despite Penguin’s efforts, they were eventually bowled out for 60, with Jake Perkins producing a match-winning spell of 6/21 to be named Man of the Match. 🌟

A dominant performance from Port Sorell on the biggest stage, capping off a terrific season and earning them the premiership honours.
