ATT - JUNIOR GAMES

Match Managers, Coaches and Team Managers 🏑

Please be aware of the below regulations in regards to U13 and U16 games along the North West.

Clocks for junior games are not to be stopped during the period of game play of any junior game. Clocks only stop for quarter time breaks and the half time break. This regulation has not changed and has been the same now for many years.

Clocks do not stop for injury, cards, short corners or if the ball is hit out of the park.

I have attached the below screenshot from the HNW regs for 2026 below and also the link to the whole regs for 2026 that are available on the HT website.

Please note from this week due to the continual issues the games now consist of 2 min quarter time breaks and a 3 min half time break, this will also bring games back into the same game time as previous years.

Coaches and Team Managers can you please make sure your teams are removing themselves after games as quickly as possible.

Can all clubs please share this to club pages also.

It’s important we get these games started at the correct start times.

🏑👏 Huge shout out to Brydie McInnes!

After playing U16s last season, Brydie has stepped up into our Division 2 Women’s side this year and continues to impress between the posts.

Today against Smithton, with the scores locked in a tight contest, Brydie faced only the second penalty stroke of her career… and made the save! 💪🔥

That gives her an incredible 100% penalty stroke save record — 2 saves from 2 attempts faced!

The save proved crucial, helping secure a hard-fought 1-0 victory for Devonport.

Goalkeepers don’t always get the headlines, but today Brydie’s save was every bit as valuable as the goal at the other end.

Well done Brydie! 👏

What a fantastic couple of days of hockey for our juniors at the State U14 Championships in Launceston. They made new friends, developed their skills, challenged themselves, and represented our club proudly both on and off the field. We couldn’t be prouder of the way they competed and supported each other. Congratulations everyone! 👏🏑🧡💙

The best young hockey talent from across Tasmania will be on display this weekend as the Under 14 State Championships take place at the Aurora Energy Northern Hockey Centre.

Teams representing the North, North West and South will go head-to-head in a battle for regional bragging rights and State Championship honours.
