TERM 3 LOCAL COMP FIXTURES ARE OUT!!!!🏀🔥🔥

The 2026 DBA Term 3 Senior and Junior Local Competitions is tipping off today!!!

Make sure you all get down for an awesome evening of hoops and the opening to what will be an exciting season!

With 28 teams across all divisions the Derby Rec Centre will be the place to be!!!🏀🙌

IMPORTANT REMINDERS TO ALL SENIOR TEAMS:
- $200 team fee is due by Monday 7th of September.
- ALL Senior teams have fixtured bench and umpire duties. All teams MUST provide minimum 1x bench and 1x umpire.

Team fees are due by Monday the 7th of September. Failure to pay team fees and incompletion of duties will lead to teams and registered players removed from remainder of local comp season.

🏀🌿 2026 SENIOR BOAB FESTIVAL BASKETBALL COMP 🌿🏀

What a weekend! 🔥🏀

The 2026 Senior Boab Festival Basketball Comp has officially wrapped up, and what a competition it was!

With 20 teams battling it out across 2 days, we were treated to close-scoring games, big plays and nail-biting finishes from start to finish. Every game brought the intensity, and our players truly exceeded expectations!👏🏾🔥

A massive congratulations to all teams and players who took the court and gave it everything. Your effort, sportsmanship and determination made this competition one to remember. 🏀❤️

A huge shoutout to our incredible volunteers and the Derby Basketball Association (DBA) — your hard work, commitment and dedication throughout the weekend were outstanding. 👏🏾

🏀✨ SENIOR & JUNIOR LOCAL PRESENTATION NIGHT ✨🏀

And just like that, another season comes to an end! 🥹🏀

A huge congratulations to all 28 teams who took part in this season’s local basketball competition! 👏🏾🔥 From our juniors taking the court for the first time to our seniors bringing the heat, it has been an incredible season filled with big plays, tough battles, plenty of laughs and so many proud moments.

A massive thank you to all our players, coaches, referees, scorers, volunteers, families and supporters who helped make the season possible. Your time, effort and commitment do not go unnoticed. ❤️

Congratulations to all our division winners, runners-up, MVPs and award recipients — you should all be incredibly proud of yourselves! 🏆👏🏾

Most importantly, thank you to every player who stepped onto the court and gave it their all. You helped make this season one to remember! 🏀🔥

DBA TERM 3 LOCAL COMP UPDATE

Monday the 17th of August the Derby Recreation Centre will be open from 3:00-8:00pm as we complete our final player and team registrations.

From 3:30-6:00pm Undercover courts 1 and 2 will be reserved for our juniors for games (ages 15 and below)
From 6:00-8:00pm court 1 and 2 will be reserved for Senior competitors.

Outdoor courts will be available for shoot arounds, training and free play.

If you are still interested in nominating a team tomorrow will be your final opportunity. As Thursday the 20th of August will kick off round 1 of the Term 3 Local Comp.

2026 JUMP4IT PRESENTATIONS

With 28 teams across 6 divisions, our junior players gave us 2 days full of excitement, determination and plenty of nail-biting games right until the final whistle! 🔥

A huge congratulations to all of our junior players on an amazing comp. Every game was an opportunity to learn, grow, compete and most importantly, have fun on the court. 👏🏾🏀

We’re so proud of every player who took the court and gave it their all. ❤️

A big thank you to our coaches, referees, volunteers, sponsors, families and supporters for helping make this possible and continuing to support junior basketball in our community.

🏀 TERM 3 LOCAL COMP REGISTRATIONS NOW OPEN 🏀

We are very excited to announce that the Term 3 DBA 2026 local competition will kick off on Monday the 17th of August!

Registrations are now open for our 12/U and 15/U Boys and Girls. Along with our Men's and Women’s competitions.

TEAM FEES:
Eligible Juniors to be covered by KidSport.
$200.00 team fee for Senior competition.

Registrations will close This Saturday the 15th of August.

We are very proud of our 2 Derby Girls Latoya Riley and Taya Alec who travelled to Perth with Basketball WA to represent Derby Basketball Association the the Kimberley region. We are very proud of you both and can't to hear all about it. Keep it up girls 👏
