Grassroots Football male and female is really struggling in general at the moment. Finding enough players for our U/18 girls was a real struggle this season and finding enough genuine volunteers was nearly impossible. Ultimately we too had to make the difficult decision to go into recession, which was devastating for the girls that were super keen to play and feel apart of the club.

These issues really need to be addressed going forward for the betterment of grassroots football for players, volunteers, clubs, parents/ supporters, officials and of course the wonderful game of Australian Rules Football

Concerns are being raised about whether women's football clubs are being appropriately supported as clubs across regional Victoria are forced to fold.

Congratulations to the following girls who have been selected to represent the WVFFL, in two matches against the AFL Goldfields as part of the selection process for the V-Line Cup Carnival!

The V-Line Cup is regional Victoria's Premier under 15's Football carnival and will be held in Shepparton on the 19th - 22nd of September.
