This weekend, all Deloraine Football Club players will proudly wear blue armbands as a tribute to Neale Daniher following his recent passing.

Neale Daniher was diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease (MND) in 2013 and went on to become one of Australia’s most recognised advocates for MND awareness and fundraising. Rather than stepping away from public life, he used his profile and determination to help change the national conversation around the disease.
He co-founded FightMND, which has raised millions of dollars for MND research, care initiatives, and support services across Australia.

One of the most well-known campaigns is the annual “Big Freeze”, where celebrities slide into icy water to raise awareness and funds for the cause.

Next month, Deloraine Football Club will once again be holding our Big Freeze, Terry’s Match, to raise funds for this worthwhile cause.

As a club, this cause is one that is very close to our hearts, we have seen firsthand the impact this disease has on individuals and their families.

We are currently calling for volunteers who are brave enough to take the plunge on the day! 🥶💦 If you would like to be involved, please get in touch with the club.

📅 Saturday 27th June 2026🏉 Deloraine v Scottsdale📍 Deloraine Football Club

Please help us, as we unite to help freeze MND.
