Four of our club juniors have been in Melbourne this weekend, competing for the inaugural Bass Strait Shield. Congratulations to Deloraine Table Tennis members Ajay Barnard, Peter Lyall, Evie Neal, and Angelo Arachchilage. The players also participated in a training camp with some of Australia's best coaches. Five days of table tennis fun. Thanks to Warren Vickery and Table Tennis Tasmania for organising the camp. Thanks to Coburg Table Tennis Club for hosting. And thanks to Deloraine Lions for helping the families with the cost of travel. We are planning for this to become an annual event, rotating between Melbourne and Northern Tasmania.
