While we are talking all about needing volunteers, please note, to comply with the Child and Youth Safe Organisations Framework, ALL adults volunteering at Deloraine, as well as at Little Athletics Tasmania events, are required to hold a Working with Vulnerable People card.

As of January 2026, obtaining a card for volunteers is now FREE of charge. previously $22.

If you are a parent/friend/family member of an athlete at the club, you will be required to hold a card in order to be with them at sites. Now is a great time to apply as the process can often take some time to finalise before receiving your physical card in the mail.

We're so grateful for the overwhelming support. 🙌🏼👏🏼

Your willingness to help ensures our little athletes have a fantastic start.

A reminder to everyone, volunteers are the backbone of our club and every contribution helps us thrive.

Our committee is tiny and although it was the tiny tots program we were most concerned about, we do require a large number of volunteers across all age groups and areas.

Let's continue to support each other and keep our club running strong. Thank you again to all our amazing volunteers!

It’s cross country season! Distance running in the off season is a great way to keep on top of your fitness before athletics starts again!

Big congrats to two of our athletes who both won their school event then represented their high school on Tuesday, at the Northern TAS Interhigh cross country with outstanding results!

Mina - 1st in Div 2, 4th overall
Finley - 1st in Div 2, 3rd overall

Well done Mina and Finley! 👏

Can’t wait to see watch their efforts at the all schools state event in June.

Dear Families,

After our AGM the other night, we're reaching out to inform you about an important update concerning our Tiny Tots program for the upcoming season.

Our U6-U15 programs will continue to run as scheduled, offering the same high-quality athletic development and fun that you've come to expect.

However, we're facing a challenge with our Tiny Totts program. Due to our club's limited volunteers, we're unable to manage the Tiny Tots program without additional support.
Therefore, the Tiny Tots program will be suspended for the next season unless we can find a volunteer to lead the program each week.

We deeply value the Tiny Tots program and the foundation it provides for our youngest athletes. If you're passionate about early childhood sports and have the time and enthusiasm to run the program, we'd love to hear from you!
