🏁 MORGAN PARK — PRACTICE DAY! 🏁

We’re here at Morgan Park Raceway and ready to get the weekend underway!

Today is all about getting some valuable track time, sorting the car and getting everything dialled in before the racing kicks off. With the teams out on track from 10am, there’ll be plenty of noise, speed and horsepower happening around the circuit!

If you’re local, practice is FREE for spectators today, so come down, grab a camp chair, find yourself a good viewing spot and enjoy the action. Soak up the atmosphere before the big weekend kicks off

Getting around Morgan Park Raceway is easy, but don’t worry, there’ll be plenty of signage around the precinct to help you find your way.

One of the great things about Morgan Park is how many places there are to watch from. Check out the green areas highlighted on the map for our spectator viewing zones!

And there’s plenty to see across the weekend. Cars, karts, drifting and, of course, the SUPER TRUCKS! 💨🏎️

Having not driven at Lakeside Park Qld for almost 2 years we had forgotten how much fun and a challange it is.

Its a bit late but here is a quick round wrap up.

Starting back of the Grid for Race 3 after our hub failure, a 15 lapper, we worked our way back up into 2nd place.

Race 4 saw us take the victory in a slightly shortened race.

Race 5 we finished up in 2nd.

Overall taking out 2nd place in the Open Class. Hell yeah, our best finish to date.

Thank you to Mark Bretherton, Laura Davidson and Charmaine Greenslade for doing the hard yards over the weekend. Probaly under more pressure then they'ed like at times. Thanks to all the people who came by and said hello, the crowd was awesome over the weekend.

🏁 RUBBERCRAFT REPLICA TOURERS – ROUND 4 | LAKESIDE 🏁

What a HUGE day at Lakeside! 😮‍💨🔥

Practice started off busy with a massive off at Hungry, leaving us with a few things to sort on the car. Then, just when we thought we were ready to go qualifying, we found we had no fuel pressure! 😬

Massive effort from Mark Bretherton at AMB Motors , who helped us diagnose the issue — a loose connection in the surge tank.

We drained the fuel, tightened everything up, refilled the car and managed to get out for just three laps of qualifying… but that was all we needed! 💪

We qualified P2 for Race 1 and went into the race chasing down Scott Pedley. We capitalised on a mistake and managed to grab the lead for a few laps before making a mistake of our own 😂. We still came home with a strong P2 finish!

Then came Race 2… and when the flag dropped, we had NO DRIVE!

We could only pull the car to the side of the track and hope we didn’t get collected. Thankfully, we managed to avoid any further drama and found that one of the rear wheel bearing hubs had clean snapped in half!

A quick phone call, a dash to Repco for a new rear hub and a trip back to the workshop, and we’ve managed to get the car repaired and ready to go for Race 3 tomorrow morning!

First day out Lakeside Park Qld in the VE, where we completed 4 sessions and gained some good practice laps, getting faster with every session. There is a few bits and pieces to tidy up for next weekends Replica Tourers Round 4.

We had the privilege of attending the unveiling of Team Racemods new Sports Sedan yesterday afternoon.

What a great event spent meeting all the supporters and people who chip in helping this grassroots team punch above their weight.

Can’t wait to see it on track and put those air jacks into action.

Quick wrap up from the last day of round 3 of the Rubbercraft Tyres Australia Replica Tourers championship.

After race 2 finishing in 5th after a fight back from the back of the grid we were promoted to 3rd after some penalty’s were applied.

Race 3 we finished in 3rd but again due to penalty’s we were promoted to 2nd.

Race 4 started 2nd and finished 2nd.

After the disappointment of Saturday evening we were wrapped with final results.

We are back at Lakeside Park Qld on the 8/9th August for Round 4. Looking forward to Lakeside, haven’t turned a lap there in the Commodore yet so I might be running some Getz lines for a while.
