For a while there had been a desire within the Brimbank community to introduce a Rugby Union club. This interest spurred the initial discussions that would springboard efforts of various community stakeholders to follow. Finally a group of rugby enthusiasts and community volunteers from various backgrounds met in 2011 and launched our improbable experiment in establishing rugby within the city of

Brimbank. With the help and support of the Brimbank Council and the guidance and blessings of Victorian Rugby Union and Melbourne Rebels this dream was brought to life. Our very first team of U8s played their very first game in borrowed jerseys lent to them by the Melbourne Unicorns and the rest they say is history. Starting off fielding only junior teams the club has over the years gradually grown and now fields senior teams in the Premiership & Championship Divisions. Now covering both Junior and Senior platforms our next aim is to stand up womens teams as well. Our growth has both been steady and encouraging with the excitement of relocating to another brand new facility in 2022 with more fields we expect to be able to increase our presence in the sport. So if youre looking to get involved in a sport choose Rugby Union and be sure to look us up. Come on down for a run and meet our friendly people. Here at the Bucks you'll feel right at home.
