Thank you to the members of Glen Innes & District Tennis Association for joining us in what was a great afternoon of tennis.

We enjoyed a scrumptious lunch and had lots of fun on the court.

We had a fun little game for the ‘Presidents Cup’ with Mark and Angus from Glen Innes defeating Theresa and Isaac from Deepwater 6-2.

Thanks to all the committee and for our lovely players who prepared food and cleaned the club house.

The Deepwater Tennis Club Championships were held on Sunday the 16th of November. We had 15 players compete.

Due to rain, we were unable to play the singles matches in the morning. However, we all came together for our Christmas lunch and played the Women’s, Men’s and mixed doubles in the afternoon when the rain cleared.

Mens Doubles Winners-

Isaac Zietek & Peter Lynn

They defeated Steve Mahoney & Stu O Neill
7-5, 6-3 in the final.

Women’s Doubles- Final to be played at a later Date
Lyn Green & Cathy Potter vs Robyn Johnston and Theresa Carseldine

Mixed Doubles Winners-

Theresa Carseldine & Peter Lynn

They defeated Robyn & Steve Johnston
4-6, 6-3, 6-4
in a mammoth 2.5 hour blockbuster, finishing at 9.45 pm!

Thank you to our the committee and members for making the day a great success. Special thanks to Premier Meats at Tenterfield for the delicious meat and Deepwater Bakery for the bread rolls.
