1 5 Y E A R S ... 15 years married! 💖

Our dance wasn't nearly as prepared as I'd hoped come the eve of our wedding, but we somehow pulled off a 7 minute mash-up (did not mean to make it that long, but once I'd realised, I didnt have time to go back and edit again! 🙈)

Started with a Waltz, followed by a pop song (with simple moves), then a Bollywood style song/dance (so fun!), then a Meregnue, and finished up where we'd started, with the Waltz!

Isaac didn't dance before me, and so his family and friends were in shock 😆 and also impressed 🙌 Love can move us in ways we never thought possible 😁💖

N E V E R T O O O L D ... Recently, we had a family member visit from the UK and they brought their beautiful "adopted" English Mum with them (81 years). They visited our place and, as she used to dance many years ago, she was excited to see the studio.

We put some music on and had an impromptu family dance. Someone asked her if she would like to have a dance. Though nervous and experiencing back pain, she decided to accept the invitation.

It was gentle and slow, but she moved and twirled with more grace than she even expected at her age and in her fragile condition. Joy bubbled up in the studio and followed into the evening.

To move like that at her precious age and after so long was something very special...

You are never too old to dance! And never too old to start!

The event is a precious and fun time for dads and their girls... a sweet treat at your fairy lit table, a short dance lesson, and an open dance floor in the dance studio. A relaxed yet special atmosphere, and a beautiful opportunity to connect.

✨ Session 1 (girls 3-6yrs): 5:40pm - 6:30pm
✨ Session 2 (girls 7yrs+): 7:00pm - 8:00pm

C H R I S T M A S W I S H E S ... Wishing you all a very special Christmas season! ✨️🎄✨️ I pray that you will know deep joy, peace and hope this Christmas, and that the new year brings many wonderful things.

Thank you, Dance Often Fam, for another amazing year together. I am excited for 2026 with you!

I am taking 4 weeks leave from this afternoon, and am excited for the fun and rest with my family! We've got a few adventures planned and lots of special things. I love this time of year as we particularly reflect on Jesus coming as a tiny babe into this world 💖

R E F L E C T I N G ... Reflecting on another beautiful year at Dance Often ✨️💖 I have loved sharing the dance studio with every couple and family that has joined us! So many special moments, but here are a handful to share with you:

✨️ Our first Mini Dance Showcase - the sweetest event with our Mummy & Littles families and Kids Dance children. Seeing our little dancers' grown abilities and confidence on the stage was so precious!

✨️ Our final Date Night Dance Floor for the year - with a young couple only weeks away from welcoming their second baby. It was their last date night out before bub arrived, and it was so sweet seeing how Dad looked after Mama throughout the evening.

✨️ Seeing the impact of our dance classes outside the studio - a mum showed me an adorable video of a little brother (3yo) of one of our dancers who knew his sister's mini showcase dance back to front. Their family loungeroom has turned into a dance floor this year and they have experienced so much joy at home because of it!

✨️ Receiving a video of a couple dancing their bridal waltz again in the Maldives - my beautiful sister-in-law and her husband absolutely loved their first dance at their wedding, but said there was something special about dancing it again, on their own, in their honeymoon destination!

I absolutely love being a part of these stories 💖🥰 The joy and honour of it never gets old.

D A T E N I G H T ... Just 10 more days until our final date night of the year 💕 These nights have been so special. A whole lot of pretty, fun & connection, and a little challenge and maybe stepping on toes 🙈 But alot less toe stepping by the end of the night! 😍

Before we hit the Christmas busy, take time out with your love learning a Waltz-inspired routine... enjoying movement and music together is pretty magical ✨️✨️

Once this was way out of his comfort zone, but he's so glad he chose to step in 🥰 Still learning and smoothing things out, but we have so much fun 🤗

My encouragement to you today is... start! Start dancing. Start small. Start moving. It's so worth hopping out of your comfort zone!
