Dean Recreation Reserve and Tennis Courts The Dean Recreation Reserve and Tennis Courts is in the Hepburn Shire in the tranquil hamlet of Dean. The pavilion and oval are available for hire.

The Dean recreation Reserve and Tennis Courts is a facility built by the community for the community. The land was given to the community by the Ballarat Brewery in the early 1950's and the Community built the pavilion in the 1950's. in the 1970's (or 80's?), with the amalgamation of the Creswick Shire into the Hepburn Council, the Council took ownership. Now it is operated by a section 86 Committ

ee who volunteer their time to upgrade and improve the facility so it is accessible to all members of the community. Both the Rec Reserve, pavilion and oval, and the tennis courts are available for hire for events. Or else you can go and have a hit of tennis or walk your dog whenever you like as it is public, community, space!

I'm back and walking again 🎉 So this Saturday the 22nd, you'll find me back at Dean Hall & Mechanics Institute serving up coffees, hot pies and desserts from 9am-1pm. See you there!

Dean sheep dog trials a huge success 🐶🐑

The sheepdog trials in Dean on the weekend were once again a great success, drawing in many locals and visitors, some experiencing working dogs for the first time. Many attendees commented on the warm, welcoming atmosphere and were impressed by the incredible skill of both the dogs and their handlers. An added highlight was the display of steam-powered machinery, along with vintage tools and implements from days gone by.
