Our Story

DAVISTOWN RSL BOWLING CLUB·SUNDAY, 14 JULY 2019·
The Davistown Bowling Club was formed on 23rd August 1973 with a membership of 93. In 1973 the Club was affiliated with Bowls Australia and in Zone 6 with the Royal New South Wales Bowling Association. Davistown RSL Bowling Club is now affiliated in Zone 15 Central Coast Bowling Association when it was formed from Zone 6. The first licens

ed clubhouse was a small cottage with the first green coming into play in 1974, with a second green added in 1976. In 1986 the club occupied a new club house which was built by members adjacent to the greens. In 1991 this club house was destroyed by fire and the club was rehoused in the Davistown RSL club premises. In 2000 the No 2 green was replaced with synthetic grass and in 2010, returned to a grass green. Now, in 2019, there are two beautiful grass greens overlooking the Kincumber Broadwater. Number 1 green is a Tip Dwarf, with Number 2 being a traditional Couch green.

On behalf of Windang Bowling Club, we would like to invite you to enter a team (or teams) in our annual Chairman’s Cup Triples Tournament, scheduled for Saturday 18th and Sunday 19th July 2026.
Please find the attached flyer containing all the information required, including entry details, conditions, and prize information. The Tournament is open to all Male, Female or Mixed teams.

Yesterday saw the quarter-finals set for the Davistown RSL Bowling Club Women’s Minor Singles Championship, with Deb Hazell defeating Kathy Smith 25-18.

Nici Campbell has already progressed to the semifinals with a win over Kathy Farthing.

There were plenty of social bowls on, with most spectating the end of the game between Deb and Kathy.

The draw for the Davistown RSL Bowling Club Men's Triples Championship has been published, there are ample opportunities to get games played BEFORE the play by dates, and it is encouraged for teams to do so.

Skips are requested to communicate, and if playing before, put the details on the green booking sheet to allow organisation greenspace and umpires etc.
