We’re excited to officially launch Coastal Media Network (CMN)!

Coastal Basketball has grown into a community of 900+ active members, 200+ Academy athletes, 50+ Coastal United teams, around 3,000 visits through our facilities every week and 120,000+ monthly social media views.

Now we’re giving South West businesses a new way to connect with that community.

Congratulations to Eloise Potter, the third athlete selected for the Coastal Basketball Athlete Development Program! 🏀

Following a highly competitive selection process, Eloise has been awarded a 12-month Athlete Development Scholarship, proudly supported by VDW Electrical.

A massive thank you to our Athlete Development Partner, VDW Electrical, for making this opportunity possible. VDW Electrical is a locally owned and operated family business, providing electrical services across Bunbury and the South West.

Their support goes further than simply partnering with Coastal Basketball – it directly invests back into our local athletes and helps create genuine opportunities for their continued development both on and off the court.

🌟 SLURP ACADEMY MEMBER OF THE WEEK – WEEK 6 🌟

A huge congratulations to Harper Gelmi, our Slurp Academy Member of the Week for Week 6! 🏀

Harper has shown amazing teamwork, encouragement and involvement during our Foundations sessions. She’s always willing to help others get involved, especially those who may be feeling a little shy or unsure.

Last week, Harper stopped what she was doing and put her own interests aside to support another Foundations member, encouraging them and working alongside them for the session. It was amazing to see! 🙌

We’ve loved seeing Harper’s kindness and teamwork on court and can’t wait to see her continue to grow throughout the term! 💙

WELCOME PERGO AIR 💙

We’re excited to officially welcome Pergo Air on board as a Coastal Basketball Supply Partner!

Pergo Air is a new, local family-run business based in Bunbury, supplying and installing air conditioning systems, as well as providing servicing and repairs across the South West.

They’ve already been helping us out at Coastal, recently installing the air conditioning in our new office at the Performance Centre, keeping the team cool as we head into the warmer months! ❄️🙌

We’re incredibly grateful to have another local business supporting Coastal Basketball and are excited to have Pergo Air as part of our community.

YOUR OLD SPORTS GEAR CAN PLAY ON 🏀♻️

Did you know the Coastal Basketball Performance Centre is a Fair Game sports equipment donation location?

We’re still collecting pre-loved sporting equipment and sports shoes in good, usable condition to support Fair Game and their Equip for Sport program 💙

Fair Game collects and redistributes donated sporting equipment to communities across WA, helping remove barriers to participation and giving more people the opportunity to get involved in sport and physical activity.

So, if you have basketballs, footballs, soccer balls, netballs, boots, runners, racquets, bats or other sporting equipment sitting around at home that still has plenty of life left in it, we’d love to have it! 🙌

Simply drop your donations into the Fair Game bin at the Coastal Basketball Performance Centre, 2/6 Munro Loop, Davenport.

Your old gear could be exactly what someone else needs to get involved and enjoy sport 🏀💙

BUSSELTON, TERM 4 IS READY FOR YOU 🏀💙

Coastal Academy is back for Term 4, with more opportunities for local players to get on court, build their game and keep developing, right here in Busselton.

From our youngest ballers taking their first steps on court through to players looking to push their performance further, there’s an Academy option to meet them where they’re at.

Across the term, players will work on the skills, confidence and game understanding to help take their basketball forward, with:

🏀 Programs for ages 2–17
⚡ Development + Performance pathways
👧 Girls-only options
🌅 Morning + afternoon sessions
📍 Training at CB24 Busselton, Barlee Street

COMMUNITY PARTNER | MALATESTA GROUP 💙

We’re incredibly proud to welcome Malatesta Group on board as a Coastal Basketball Community Partner!

Malatesta has been a long-time supporter of Coastal Basketball, with the Malatesta family having been a valued part of our Coastal community through our Academy and programs.

Their continued support of girls in basketball and creating opportunities within our local community has now extended even further, with Malatesta Group generously sponsoring two 12-month All Access Memberships for athletes selected by Coastal Basketball, Sadie and Heidi! 🏀

Sadie and Heidi were selected by Coastal for the enthusiasm they bring to their basketball, their willingness to learn and their commitment to continuing to develop their games.

Their All Access Memberships will give both girls greater access to our facilities and resources throughout the next 12 months as they continue their basketball journeys.

Malatesta Group is a locally owned and operated South West business with a proud history in the Bunbury region. With a strong focus on supporting local people, businesses and the wider community, we’re extremely proud to have them partnering with Coastal Basketball.
