We didn't forget them, we just saved the best to last.

Our Challenge and Cruiser classes raced handlebar to handlebar from the gate drop all the way to the finish line to see took home the 1st place prize.

And luckily it is a public holiday to give you time to enjoy the photos, because we may have got a bit snap happy with the shutter button. So much so that we can't fit them all on Facebook.

Not too many smiles were being cracked pre-race in the challenge and cruiser classes.

It's the moment everyone hangs out for following a race night.....the mini-wheeler photos.

And boy do we have plenty of them with 17 of our smallest racers, with the biggest smiles, taking to the track (a good number of them for their first race night) for Tropic Thunder 2026.

If it wasn't hard enough fitting them all on the track, we then had to squeeze them all onto the podium for their medallion presentation, supported by Darwin Port Operations.

The Darwin skies have been filled with the sound of jet (and the odd propellor) engines this week for Royal Australian Air Force Exercise Diamond Storm.

It has been a good little warm up for what is going to be a big Exercise Pitch Black 2026.
