This season, our Men’s and Women’s Premier League teams will proudly wear our yellow away guernsey, designed by Wanderers junior girls Elley-May Gaykamangu and Scarlette Moreen.

With strong family connections to the club and family ties to Bagot, the girls created the original artwork as a school task. We were incredibly proud to have the opportunity to bring their vision to life and see their artwork become a guernsey worn by our senior teams.

The design was previously worn at the AFL Dreamtime match by senior women’s player Ivana Schober, and now carries an even greater connection to our club as it takes the field throughout this season.
More than just a guernsey, it represents our club’s connection to First Nations Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture, while celebrating the creativity, culture and contribution of our young Wanderers.

A design created by our juniors, inspired by community, and proudly worn by our Premier League teams.

PLAYER TAPING & STRAPPING - Stay in the know 🦅💙💛

As we get ready for the new season, here’s an important reminder for all players and families regarding taping and strapping.

In line with our sports trainer guidelines, players aged 18 and under must be assessed by a physiotherapist before being taped.
Clear instructions from the physiotherapist must then be provided to the club and our sports trainers.

If you’re carrying an injury, or even just dealing with those annoying little niggles, we strongly encourage you to get them checked early. This helps ensure our trainers can support your recovery safely and appropriately throughout the season.

Remember, as young bodies grow and develop, some soreness is completely normal. However, soreness doesn’t always mean taping is required. The best approach is to have any concerns assessed by a physiotherapist so the right treatment and support can be provided.

If you have any questions, please reach out to the club or speak with our club Sports Trainers 🙌
