Darwin Triathlon Club Keeping Darwin Triathlon Club members (and supporters) up to date as well as celebrating our history and achievements. LIKE us while you are here!

We are a very friendly group of triathletes & supporters and we welcome members of all ages from 5 - 60+. The abilities of our members range from from those just taking up triathlon to multiple Ironman World Championship competitors. We also encourage team participation at club events. Events are conducted year round. Our full calendar of events are volunteer run on a roster system. Through the volunteer junior committee, the club also runs a very active junior program from October - April. The club also has a number of active triathlon coaches who conduct regular training sessions. Non members are welcome to attend these sessions & they are an ideal way to be introduced to the sport of triathlon and met other club members. From time to time, the club our may conduct a Try a Tri event open to non members. These will be advertised on our calendar.

Only one week late… but we finally made it onto Facebook account 😅

Congratulations to all of our award winners, and a huge thank you to everyone who made the season what it was. Our athletes, volunteers, committee members and everyone who showed up, raced, helped out and supported the club along the way 💙

Reminder: There is some stuff happening this weekend. Just a little race (Aquathlon #1), an AGM, a presentation and dinner. Nothing much. Not a big deal that the committee has to do much work for or anything.

We are urging you to have a heart this week and book tickets ASAP to help us with catering. (Don't miss out on range of curries, veggies and salads)

Also, remember the theme is Pitch Black. Remember to dress up, but not like this bloke.

I feel the need, the need, for speed.

A reminder that our AGM/Presentation/Aquathlon # 1 is set to take-off next Saturday 12th September at 17.00 on a flight path around Lake Alexander.

The aquathlon will offer maximum cruise speeds, at low altitude. There is a chance of possible turbulence at the beginning if you get in the wake of some of our bigger engines, but we are ready for you to wing-it on the day.

No hitting the brakes and letting anybody fly right by.

Oh, and if you’re wondering why we are using amazing puns, the dress up theme for the presentation is "Pitch Black." It's like an adult book week, where we dress as whatever we like, and come up with a weak connection to a vague publication and pretend we have read it.

DTC legends at the Total Recreation fun run raising funds for the NT Special Olympics team.

Bron and John cruised to the lead in their respective 12km and 6km races.

NB completed his first long race in style while Louise also took on the 12km braving the heat that goes with an 8am start.

Aquathlon #1/kids race/AGM/Presentation 12th September 5PM at Lake Alexander

We know that everybody is looking forward to the AGM because, who doesn’t. It’s your opportunity to make a difference to our amazing triathlon community. All positions will be declared open to fill our 2026-27 season committee.

Whilst at the AGM, you may choose to participate in Aquathlon #1 which is a 300/2/300/2 course at Lake Alexander. The short course is 200/2. There will also be a kids event for kids/kidults.

Then hang around for the awards presentation and a feed.

Did we mention the dress up theme? “Pitch Black.” Get creative!
