Darwin Outrigger Canoe Club - DOCC

Darwin Outrigger Canoe Club - DOCC Darwin Outrigger Club is based at the Ski Club and paddles Fannie Bay and Darwin Harbour. Our members range in age from their 20s to 70s.

Darwin Outrigger Canoe Club (previously Arafura OCC) was founded by a group of like-minded people in 2004. Some paddle socially for fitness while others train for events around Australia. We meet in the Ski Club carpark on Tues & Thurs at 5:00pm for a 1 hour paddle (approx 8km). We also meet at 6am on Sat for a 2+ hour paddle (17-20km).

We do our best to be quick on and off the water to allow people to get to work albeit an hour is so later than the normal
Our paddlers have switched up their work and daily activities for this midweek paddle
Today really turned out to be high energy
Racing between the yachts in front of Darwin Sailing Club was a heap of fun
Peter has nailed his turns while Louise walked away wondering 🤔 just how she could improve those u turns around buoys
Fun and heart pumping exercise do go together after all 💪🏽
