We’re also excited to share some BIG news that was revealed at the event…

We are officially rebranding from Mini Soccer & Cricket Club to Sports Club at Charles Darwin University!

This is just the beginning. We’ve got plenty in store, and an exciting semester ahead filled with more games, more opportunities, and more fun.

The CDU Soccer Tournament 2025 was an absolute massive hit with over 90+ players and supporters across 8 amazing teams, including a spirited CDU Staff Team, all battling it out for glory over two action-packed days!

The atmosphere was electric full of joy, sportsmanship, and good vibes all around. From powerful goals to dramatic saves, every match kept the crowd on their feet. 🙌

After some incredible performances and tough competition, it was NSA A who rose to the top and took the trophy home! 🏆🔥

A huge thank you to everyone who participated, volunteered, and cheered you all made this event truly special. Every single one of you is a winner in our eyes. ❤️

With free food, a fun photo booth, and amazing campus spirit all around the tournament wasn’t just about soccer, it was about community, connection, and celebration. 🍕📸✨

The campus truly glowed up filled with laughter, friendly competition, and good vibes that left everyone in awe. This event was more than a game, it was a reminder of how special CDU’s student life can be when we all come together.

For the very first time in CDU’s history, our incredible staff took to the field to compete against students in the CDU Soccer Tournament. ⚽🔥

It was a moment to celebrate and cherish: a day when the walls of lecture theatres and meeting rooms gave way to the green field, where we came together not as staff and students, but as one CDU family united by the love of the game.

No grades, no assignments, no deadlines, just pure energy, laughter, and the beautiful spirit of football. Watching our staff step out of their usual roles to share this experience with us was inspiring. They showed not only their teamwork and skill but also their commitment to building stronger connections with the student community.

This event wasn’t just about goals scored or matches won, it was about creating memories, breaking down barriers, and celebrating the vibrant multicultural spirit of CDU.

A very special thank you to every staff member who joined us today, your presence meant the world to us. You reminded us that CDU is more than just a place of study or work; it’s a community where people support, celebrate, and grow together.
