As one chapter ends, another one begins.

Let’s try a different approach.

On one hand we are tired of our cars being broken into.

On the other hand, we acknowledge that these offenders are only kids.

Kids who most likely don’t have caring parents.

Kids that might even come from an abusive home.

Kids that have probably seen too much violence and have had to grow up too quickly.

It’s not their fault if their parents are drunk AF somewhere and don’t give a s**t that their 10 year old child is walking the streets at 2am.

This isn’t an “us vs them” situation. It is a “do the right thing by your family (regardless of your cultural background) and take responsibility for future generations” kind of thing.

There is a collective anxiety happening from all sides in the NT right now and clearly the Gov isn’t willing, or is unable to make real change.

So maybe the people of the NT can instead.

How often have you said “I just need to start running again” or “My mindfulness practise is going great, I journal, podcast, listen to my meditation app…” and let not forget “I’m going to add in more gym sessions until I feel fit again” etc etc etc
This is a phenomenon that I see regularly where people assume that adding more into their current “life load” will help them to achieve their goals. In my experience, removing or reducing elements to your current “life load” is far more effective and most importantly, maintainable.
Cut out the supplements (unless your absolutely need them for medical reasons) and eat whole foods. Workout a manageable training schedule, then ditch the 8 week weight loss challenge and lastly - instead of listening a digital app to meditate, try spending some time alone, without input (music, podcasts etc) and be with your thoughts. Use this time to file away any stray thoughts and process your feelings.
