Duel in the north recap
Night 1
It was a frustrating night to say the least. We had some issues with the car shutting off randomly and was unable to complete complete both heats but had some good pace when the car was not playing up
Night 2
We replaced all the sensors connected to the inlet manifold and serviced the motor before heading to the track. Finally we were problem free!
We had to start rear of field both heats due to our late nomination, Steve gave it his all on a tricky track in heat one. We missed the setup and had no grip so finished where we started.
Heat two
We made some changes in between heats to hopefully have a bit more grip. Whilst on the grid they decided to work the track. Steve rolled out on the track with confidence and hade a good go at moving forward, the changes to the car definitely helped and had some good pace until mid race a head gasket let go and Steve limped it home on the bottom.
Unfortunately that was our night!
We will get the head gaskets changed and back out very soon
Congratulations to Blake Walsh and his team on a flawless weekend winning both nights
Thank you to Murdie brothers motorsports and driver Brad Warren for the advice and help pushing the car on the trailer
Thank you to our valued sponsors, without them we would not be able to go racing
Thank you to Kristen Sharman for the support, motivation and doing what she could to help ensure I was able to race
