A wonderful story from ABC News today, highlighting some of the beautiful people we're proud to have at Darwin Olympic.

At the centre is one of our rising stars, Kaung Zayar-Thaw, who arrived in Darwin with his family after fleeing Myanmar.

Since joining Darwin Olympic, football has helped Kaung build friendships, improve his English and feel part of his new community. We're so proud of Kaung and his family and feel privileged that we are the club who could foster this within the wider family. ❤️

2027 COACHING EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST ⚪🔴

Darwin Olympic Sporting Club is already looking ahead to 2027 - a very special year as we celebrate our 60th Anniversary! 🎉

As we prepare for this huge milestone in the club’s history, we are now seeking Expressions of Interest from coaches across all levels of Darwin Olympic.

Our coaches play a huge role in developing our players, strengthening our culture and ensuring the next generation of Reds have the best possible environment to grow and enjoy their football.

We’re looking for people who are:

⚪ Committed to player development
🔴 Positive, supportive and team-focused
⚪ Excited to be part of the next chapter of Darwin Olympic

Coaching support and development opportunities will be available throughout the season, whether you're an experienced coach or taking your first steps into coaching.

This not only is a clear demonstration that the Reds lead the Northern Territory for junior development but also excel in producing top level young talent. 🔴⚪️

👏 U14 Red — 2️⃣-1️⃣ vs Port Darwin

This a reflection of the development, growth and pathway we continue to build at Olympic.

This year we had the lowest registration numbers and like last years our junior program continues to set the benchmark for junior development and success in the Northern Territory. 🙌

If there was any doubt about who is leading the way in NT junior football… we think the weekend made that pretty clear. 😉

The job isn’t finished. We keep pushing. We keep developing. We stay Darwin Olympic! 🔴⚪
