Team 8:

Founded in 1994 as Darwin Azzurri, the club merged with Nakara Soccer Club in 2006 to form Nakara Azzurri. In 2010, the club merged with University Rangers to form University Azzurri.

Team 7: 🟥⬜️

Darwin Olympic Sporting Club has a rich history dating back to 1967, with a strong presence in the Northern Territory's football scene. The club's origins are tied to a post-WWII migration wave from Kalymnos, Greece, which brought skilled construction labourers to Darwin. Over the years, Olympic has become one of the most successful clubs in the territory, with 60 titles in Top End football.

Darwin Olympic has transitioned from a predominantly Greek club to a multicultural, welcoming demographic, with a strong focus on developing young players and providing opportunities for the community.

Team 6: 🟥🟦

Darwin Hearts FC was founded in 2010 under the Nepalese Association of Northern Territory (NANT). The club started as a fun and fitness activity for Nepali youths in Darwin, eventually growing to include locals and foreigners. With NANT's support, they participated in tournaments like the MIT Cup in Melbourne, self-managing costs alongside funding. The club promotes teamwork and sportsmanship while representing the Nepalese community in the Northern Territory.

Team 5: 🟨⬛️

Mindil Aces Football Club has a rich history dating back to 1980, evolving from Stuart Park Soccer Club with sponsorship from the Don Casino. This support helped them break Hellenic and Olympic's dominance, winning the 1984 Premiership. The club's focus on sportsmanship, fair play, and camaraderie has shaped its ethos, emphasising family values.

Get ready to kick off Week 2 of 'If Trident Sports were designed for...'! We're pumped to dive into our second team kit design challenge.

Team 2: .official 🟪🟦

Port Darwin FC (The Wharfies) was formed in 1996 following a merger of two prominent junior Darwin football clubs. Parap and St Mary's came together and with the senior Waratahs Club joining the fledgling club in 2006, the claret and blue were formed.

We're excited to share our design process with you, and who knows? We might just partner with these legends in the future! 🤩
