Hi,

This month, I am taking part in the Great Cycle Challenge to fight kids' cancer!

My goal is to ride 100km throughout October, and I've ridden 14.1km so far this month.

Why am I doing this? Because right now, cancer is the largest killer of children from disease in Australia - 3 kids die every week.

Kids should be living life, not fighting for it.

And TODAY is Kick Cancer's Butt Day, a day where ALL online donations will be MATCHED by supporters of the charity (up to $1,000,000)...

Many people add bay leaves to foods, especially red meat and poultry but do you know why bay leaves are added to food?

When asked why, some reply: to add flavor to the food👐

Do you know that If you boil some bay leaves in a glass of water and taste it, it will have no flavor?
Now why do you put bay leaves in the meat?

The addition of bay leaves to meat converts triglycerides to monounsaturated fats, and for experimentation and confirmation:

Cut a chicken in half and cook each half in a pan and place one bay leaf in one of the pans and the other without bay leaf and observe the amount of fat in both pans.
