🏁Round 1 wrap up 🏁

North Australian Motor Sports Club (NAMSC) Ross Hanning Memorial Demit Tools Circuit Racing Round 1 has been and gone!

The week started off with doing a last minute dash to fit rear brakes and slaves as they were on their way out. Thanks Yazmin!!

Sitting pretty we took it down on Saturday to get a few laps under my belt from a 6 month season break. Everything was travelling beautiful until the dreaded engine light came on.
I should have taken that as a sign from the race gods that my weekend wasn't meant to

Race morning started with beautiful weather as if the dry season was here 🤔 wrong the heat came in and boy it was a little toasty!

Sam was ready to get behind the wheel, the car felt amazing, there’s been lots of improvements from last year, Sam has worked extremely hard in the off season getting to the gym and building her confidence 👏

Unfortunately the team found the oil cooler had split and was leaking quite badly ended Sam’s day and she was unable to participate in the final race 😓

Now the fun begins trying to source parts and get her back out ready for round 2 in a few weeks time.

A massive thanks goes to the team for all your efforts. Dad, Craig, Yazmin, my kids, mum, Erin & Steven. The support is phenomenal and I really appreciate the support.

Couldn't do it without the sponsors, deadly hair dude, quack pest control, ifitness 24/7, bilateral PT training.

Let’s meet the crew!

First up let’s meet the woman behind the wheel.

Meet Sam or Samantha, but she only gets called that if she’s in trouble… usually by her mum 🤣

Sam has always had racing in her blood. From before she could walk Sam was always down at any race track.

Sam’s Dad has always had a passion for anything with 4 wheels. From speedway days in the sedans, moving over to the black track with HQ and naturally progressing into commodore cup and sprint cars.
Literally, anything with wheels, they are involved in!

This saw Sam having to have very thick skin when holding the torch, or bleeding brakes…. If you know, you know. 🫣

Motorsport is more than a one man show, it is a whole community of support.
From mum and dad, Craig and my kids being my biggest fans. My brother and sister coming down and checking in, asking for lap times! Friends who turn into pit crew and literally on their hands and knees to make sure the car is good to go.

Huge shoutout to the sponsors that have come on board this year! We can wait to share who those sponsors are over the next few weeks 🏁

Sam can’t wait to be back at the track behind the wheel!

North Australian Motor Sports Club (NAMSC) Ross Hanning Memorial Circuit Racing Round 1 will be held this weekend at Hidden Valley Raceway. Entries are still open. All categories are involved including Improved Production Racing Association Northern Territory - IPRA NT, HQRA NT, Circuit Excel NT - CENT and Commodore Cup Motor Racing Series, Northern Territory. The track will be available for track cars or lapsprinting sessions. Get your car finalized and down the track this weekend.Top End Lap Sprinting - TELS. Any info please email [email protected]

Here it is. The 2024 NAMSC Middy's Electrical Circuit Racing Calendar for Hidden Valley Raceway. We have three months to get the cars ready for the Test and Tune Day before we enter into our 4 round Pointscore Calendar, NT Titles, standalone 2024 Yokohama Improved Production Nationals Event, Supercars and more.
