10 players competed for the Icon Agriculture Trophy. 5 teams of 2, playing foursomes. Congratulations to Judy and Val with a terrific 98-27-71. Lovely to see you back at golf Val. Second Rhonda and Louise with a fabulous score 114- 49-73. Nearest the pin winners Cassandra and Helen. Also was great to see Cassandra back at golf. 11 players this Saturday competed for the Mitch and Bec Clarke Trophy. First qualifying round as well. And it was happy birthday Roclea with a terrific, winning round 83-15-68, from David Steddy 77-5-72. Roclea also collected the two nearest the pins! A happy day indeed. 8 players competed for the Allure for Hair day...stroke competition. First qualifying round and first putting competition. It was a hot day, fast fairways and some terrific scores. Well done to Rhonda for a fabulous round 110-39-71, and almost as fabulous, second to Helen 95-23-72. Robyn and Judy showed their skills with nearest the pins, and Teleah scored a birdie. A sunny and rather warm day greeted 10 players on Wednesday 13th May, for the Margaret and Kath Duffield Memorial Trophy, 4BBB competition. Helen and Peta won the day on 48 points, with Robyn and Maureen second on 43. Congratulations and thank you to Wayne Duffield who presented the prizes and shared some lovely recollections of his mother and grandmother. Nearest the pin on 6 Kylie from Wagin, and 17 Robyn with a lovely drive into the green. Special mention to Fe and Kylie from Wagin who joined us for the day... you're welcome any time and it was lovely to have you both at our golf club. Also Louise well done on your second card, and Rhonda for a creditable 39 on your own. Thank you also to the Great Awakening Cafe for their weekly sponsorship.
