18th – 24th May is National Volunteer week. A time to reflect and thank volunteers for their invaluable contributions they make to sport.

Skate Victoria would like to recognise all our volunteers, who give up their time willingly & without expectation of a reward to help our roller sports clubs operate & function.

This year’s theme is “Your Year to Volunteer” & we invite interested people to contact one of our Affiliated clubs to see how they can get involved.

Skate Victoria continues to offer FREE MEMBERSHIP for Officials, Coaches, Administrators & Referees in all disciplines (nationally), whilst volunteers are participating in our Affiliates sanctioned activities/events. Our way of saying “Thankyou” all year round …. To Skate Victoria volunteers.

12th April 2026, is the date set for the next artistic skating promotional event at the Skate Victoria 'The Shed', in Dandenong, Victoria.

The developmental event organised by our Affiliates, The Skate Studio and Roller One Artistic Skating Club is the perfect opportunity to put into practice skills learnt and experience competitions in a supportive environment.

If you are interested in participating in the upcoming competition, contact the clubs to find out more.

Skate Victoria is proud to be supporting our providers, The Skate Studio and Roller One Artistic Skating Club with their goals of creating development avenues for new skaters to get involved in artistic skating.

Did you get skates or Inline Blades for Christmas?

Skate Victoria Affiliated roller sports clubs and/or providers, around Australia, provide a range of opportunities for skaters who would like to learn how to skate, improve on their skating, venture into recreational or competitive skating or simply “Get back to skating”.

Attend a “learn to skate” class which will teach you the fundamentals of skating to get you on your way and skate confidently.

Attend a “learn how to” play inline hockey, roller hockey or beginner speed skate, artistic, roller derby, slalom or recreational class.

Have some fun, exercise, meet new people, looking for a sport the whole family can become involved in, compete locally, internationally or volunteer, whatever your reason is ..... for wanting to get involved … find a club near you and “get skating” in 2026.

The “ Show” at Greaves Reserve, Dandenong, Victoria is on this weekend, Saturday 8th - Sunday 9th November.

A show where the "country comes to the city".
