Thank you to all our athletes, coaches, referees, officials, parents, families, volunteers, medics, and security staff for your tremendous support in making the 2026 VKL Shukokai Cup a great success. Your dedication, hard work, and contribution throughout the day were invaluable and greatly appreciated.

Congratulations to all athletes who stepped onto the tatami and gave their best effort. Whether you won or lost, you demonstrated courage, determination, sportsmanship, and respect. Every competition is an opportunity to learn, grow, and improve, and you should all be proud of your achievements.

A big shout out to Kaizen Culture for capturing some truly special moments for our athletes and coaches throughout the day.

A wonderful evening at this year’s State Team Dinner, celebrating the athletes selected to represent Victoria at the National Karate Championships in Hobart next month.

While we were missing a few special people who were in Auckland competing at the NZ Open, it was fantastic to come together and recognise the achievements of our athletes and officials.

Congratulations to:

Tahnysha – recipient of the Under 21 Top Gun Award.

Daniel – recipient of the International Recognition Award, the Alan Murdoch Award, and this year’s prestigious President’s Award.

Congratulations to all award recipients and State Team members as you prepare to represent Victoria and Shukokai with pride. 👊🏼🥋💙💛

An amazing tournament and an incredible experience for some of our athletes competing overseas for the very first time.

Congratulations to our team on some fantastic results:

Alex narrowly missed out on a medal, but delivered a great performance and should be proud of the effort shown.

Beyond the results, the experience gained, lessons learned, and memories created will stay with our athletes for years to come.

Today, we enjoyed some sightseeing before heading home and reflecting on a successful trip.

Well done, team. Safe travels home and thank you for representing our dojo with pride, determination, and excellent sportsmanship. 👊🏼🇦🇺🥋
