Another Great Day At Daka - Send, Send, Send...

We had a great day out at Daka this week, with a good turn out and heaps of great flying. The day peaked out at around 30C (86F) with blue sky's and light breezes.

Johnny opened the gates early and got in a few plank flights and then a few packs through the Align600ESP, and inverted flight was looking very solid and real nice. Gav was flying pack after pack and great to see the ol' Goblin 700 Comp in the air. Such a nice heli that one...

Manny had his new Tron Nitro out for maiden and after a quick tune on the throttle gov she was humming and fly quite nicely. And the Align 700XN always looks a great model in the air with that lovely blue, red and yellow canopy, and flew equally as well.

I took out the Logo600 and one of the Align700E's and enjoyed some nice flights on both models and shot some slower floating autos, but hats off to Russ who took the auto prize for the day once again with some real high slow floater autos. Nice going buddy...

And Damien continues to push the envelope and is trying all sorts of manoeuvrers, and from both the left and right hand sides, which is something a lot of use forget to try. Nice flying buddy, and its all looking very nice.

Being a hotter day we were all said and done by about 11 o'clock and we shut the gates around 11:30 and headed home for a cool drink and a bite to eat. A great day had by all.

Well that's about it for this weeks wrap and another great day at Daka. Enjoy the pics, stay safe everyone and lets all look forward to doing it all again next weekend.

Cheers for now,

Another Great Day At Daka – Remaiden of the XL550

Sunday was another cooler morning in Brisbane, and a few of us made our way out to Daka for a fly. Craig was away camping for the weekend and Johnny forgot his alarm and went back to bed. I forgot to pack the lil' Nano despite having batteries charged, so had to settle for some flights on the Logo600.

There was a bit of planker action early in the morning, and we found that Jase was in need of a pushrod end keeper for the Timber, so a bit of bush ingenuity and a cable tie later she was airborne and enjoyed the day. Timmy had the XL 550 rebuilt and out for remaiden and all went fine an she flew well.

That's about all for this quick wrap of last weekends Daka action. Stay safe and lets look forward to doing it all again next weekend.

Cheers for now,
