🏏 Slab Road Cricket Club is thrilled to announce that Michael Conway will continue as Club Coach for the 2026/27 season!

After an outstanding 2025/26 campaign that saw the club claim the A grade premiership, Mick’s reappointment comes as no surprise. His leadership, knowledge of the game, passion for the club and ability to get the best out of the playing group were a huge part of our success last season.

Not only a fantastic coach, Mick continues to lead from the front as a player and role model around the club. We’re excited to have him guiding the group again as we look forward to another big season ahead.

• Michael Conway – awarded A Grade Coach of the Year
• Bec Direen – selected in the Women’s Team of the Year
• Amalia Clifford – selected in the Women’s Team of the Year

Special mention to Robb MacMillan and Corey Murfet, who tied with Margate’s Cody Rawnsley for A Grade Player of the Season — a fantastic achievement! 🏆

Robb also capped off an incredible year by taking out:

May is Fatality Free Friday month for the Australian Road Safety Foundation – Roadies need to be road safe.

Australia recorded 1,314 lives lost on our roads in 2025, the highest road toll since 2010. Too many crashes are caused by everyday risky behaviour including speeding, fatigue and mobile phone distraction.

Every choice we make on the road matters. Slow down, stay alert, put the phone away and help make sure everyone gets home safely. 🚗💛💚
