A beautiful Sunday began with our annual Winter Solstice Reflection at Daybreak, remembering those who have survived breast cancer, those who have not and those who are currently undergoing treatment 💞 a special time of shared gratitude and support.

Of course, a training session followed, watched by an eagle eye, with our first Knobby Risk Taker Award being presented to Carolyn Raven, for boldness and courage on the boat.. (she also didn’t talk!!!). Well deserved to a great addition to our club, thank you Knobby for your encouragement.

Plus, we welcome Bronwyn Nicholson to our merry band of DAGC paddlers. So yes, a busy morning… onward and upward, go pinkies!!! 🩷🩷

As we celebrated our DAGC 25th Anniversary Awards Dinner at Currumbin RSL last night, wonderful memories, great stories and lots of love and giggles were shared by so many of our members - past and present, sponsors, neighbouring clubs, family and friends, it was an evening to remember. Thank you to Action in Focus Photography for capturing the event, so proud of the success of our club!!

A magnificent afternoon celebrating Mrs Lorraine Patricia Ledwell OAM (aka Lorrie Ledwell - Lozza) with recognising her outstanding service and exceptional achievement for service to community and to breast cancer awareness. Lozza shared her experience receiving her prestigious medal and certificate at Government House Brisbane, very special indeed 💝 Happy hearts and warm hugs were plenty as glasses were raised in admiration. A bright shining star to so many 🌟👏👏👏

The weather gods were kind to us as we were joined by Operation PTSD Support for a training session this week. So much admiration for this group who enjoy a few days of R&R at the coast. This catchup has become a yearly event and the camaraderie between these 2 groups is really something special.
