I am sad to say that this is the end of Southern Coast Gymnastics 🤍 From memories as far back as 2014 I can’t believe how quickly time has flown by. In 2016 my little girls had their very first competition competing in Level 2. Each of them walked away with silvers, golds and big grins. I knew all of our hard work combined would help them grow up to be little champions. In Level 3 the girls turned into shining stars always training hard and competing so beautifully with big smiles for the judges. I will always remember how Bonnie wow’d the judges with a massive 9.9 in Level 3. A massive achievement for her and such an exciting moment for me as a coach, knowing that my dedication to the girls and coaching was on the right track! In 2018 the girls were in level 4 with the support of all you parents out there Southern Coast Gymnastics Club was created. We covered countless overall podiums. Isabella, Ava and Amia managed a 1st, 2nd & 3rd overall beam podium! Isabella and McKenzie were side by side for a 1st and 2nd overall on floor. We had Evie podium 3rd overall at Regionals and therefore make the Regional Team for State Championships. Such an exciting time having the girls qualify for our first ever State Championships! Evie managed to get 6th overall on floor with a massive score of 9.525 and the regional team came 3rd overall. Such a big achievement for our tiny little club. In 2019 was our biggest year yet! The girls competed Level 5, my little baby Noah was born, I got married (and my beautiful team was there) and training was a little disrupted but I’ll never forget how supportive everyone was. A bit crazy and all hands were always on deck getting through training and competitions but we got there! Our new Level 3’s were on fire. We had apparatus champions and Evie and Sierra were always neck and neck battling for who would take overall champion. Little Indi worked so hard and got a well deserved 6th place on bars. Which brought tears to my eyes! At Regionals we had Isabella wow everyone with apparatus medals and 2nd overall! Once again our team was off to State Championships. Abbey and Evie scored a tied 9.4 on beam ranking them 6th overall for beam. Bonnie competed a beautiful 9.125 floor routine. Isabella had a stunning floor routine of 9.55 after missing the year before with a broken collar bone. Our second ever State Championships as a tiny little club and we had Isabella walk away with Beam Champion and 2nd on floor. In 2019 we entered 7 competitions and the girls at Southern Coast Gymnastics achieved 14 Golds, 15 Silvers, 11 bronze, 3 third overalls, 4 second overalls and 4 first overalls. Amazing results. I am so proud of each of them for all they have achieved in Gymnastics and will continue to achieve. I also can’t believe that some of my little girls have become teenagers. Words cannot express how much love I have for my girls and all you parents who have supported me not only as a coach but been there for me to help in my personal life. You are all incredible and I feel blessed and thankful to God to have had such amazing families come into my life. To all the coaches who filled in when I was sick, pregnant or overseas at Logan’s competitions I am so thankful for you as well. To anyone who helped myself or the girls along the way I know we are all thankful for any part you have played.
I have enjoyed every single moment coaching these beautiful faces and will miss seeing you all. I wish not only the girls the best for the future but all of you parents and families as well.
Thankyou for allowing me to coach your daughters 🤍 Miss Kimberly xx
