Join us at Abbott Road Diamonds on Saturday 19 September from 4pm for a fun and relaxed introduction to mixed slow pitch softball 🥎💪🏽

It’s an easy-to-learn, social version of the game - perfect for new players, former players or anyone keen to give softball a go. Come on your own or bring your friends, family or workmates. Everyone will be placed into a team, no experience is necessary and all equipment will be provided.

The slow pitch rules are designed to keep the game simple and inclusive, making it a super-social outing on the diamond.
Stay afterwards and enjoy a BBQ with the MWSA community!

Please come and help at our next Working Bee!

To get Abbott Road Diamonds ready for the start of our season, there is a working bee on Sunday 13 September, 9am - 12pm.

We will need help in getting the diamonds/grounds ready, sorting out gear in the shed, moving gear out of the umpires room to the shed and a general tidy-up. There will be some light work, if you’re not up for the heavy lifting. Everyone is welcome. The more helpers the quicker things will get done!

A MASSIVE thank you to Doug, Zoe, Kim, Carlo, Holly, Shaun, Keryn, Nikki, Bree, Jess, Katie, Lia, Alli and all those who pitched in to help the NSWPSSA Boys Tournament happen down at the grounds over the past week.

We are so incredibly lucky to have people step in and give us a hand in the canteen, help set up diamonds, make temporary diamonds, put up temporary nets, mark lines, make lunches, serve in the canteen, fill toilet paper - the list goes on.

The tournament ran smoothly and it’s all because of how well MWSA can come together and make it happen for our sport.

🥎 PSSA Boys School Zone Wrap-Up 🥎

A fantastic three days of softball at the Sydney North School Zone Boys Tournament, held at Manly Grounds from 25–27 August!

Across 5 time slots on Tuesday, 5 on Wednesday, and 3 on Thursday, our umpiring team worked tirelessly to keep the tournament running smoothly.

A huge thank you to UIC George Norrish for leading the tournament, supported by 10 dedicated adult umpires who gave their time and experience throughout the week.

A special congratulations to Chloe Farrago and Harry White, who have been selected to officiate at the All Schools PSSA Championships at the end of October. An incredible achievement and well deserved!

Well done to everyone involved players, coaches, officials and volunteers for making it such a successful tournament. 👏

🥎 Senior games (2-4pm) for existing players & ladies who would like to give softball a go. Come with your whole summer team, several teammates or on your own - everyone gets a game!
🥎 Mixed slow pitch come + try (4-5pm). Softball with a social twist for men and women! Come on your own or bring some friends - we’ll get everyone playing!
🥎 BBQ from 5pm

WOW and thank you to our wonderful community who hosted >120 of the next generation of teeball & softball superstars yesterday afternoon!

The effort and energy you all gave to welcome existing and new faces to Abbott Road Diamonds was so greatly appreciated 🙏

AND to our young guest thank you so much for coming along. We hope you had a lot of fun, collected all the stamps on your map as you went around each station, enjoyed your slushie and will wear your “Play Ball @ MWSA” t-shirt with a lot of pride ❤️ Don’t forget to show your friends!!!
