10 AM to 12 PM, Sacred Heart Parish School Visit: featuring a morning tea, school performance, and tour.

12pm – 4pm (free time) Catch up with friends, have lunch at one of the pubs, drive to Eulo for an Artesian Mud Bath, counter lunch or bit of bespoke shopping. Visit Cunnamulla Hot Springs, fish on the Warrego River, enjoy a beer at Cunnamulla Bowling Club.

It’s hard to put into words and impossible to really understand what the Explore Bulloo residents are going through.

The physical exhaustion of the up hill round the clock battle against the Bulloo River to keep it from the town.

Then the fear knowing the levy burst and it is not safe. That you must leave your home, your business and leave some very precious things behind. Yes they are only things but some of those things are the only memento you have of a loved one no longer here.

I imagine their would me moments of happiness as you see family friends neighbours all arrive to the place of safety knowing for sure no one is hurt or worse.

Then a change to confusion and sadness as you do not know what the damage will be how you will ever get things back in order.

There is no doubt there is a hard road ahead but you can and will survive this. One step at a time one day at a time.

There are so many people that want to hep. Approximately 80 beds are ready for Thargo residents if they need them plus meals as the Cunnamulla community has rallied to find ways to help. Many people have offered to cook or provide meals and also we have a growing list who will load up the cars and head out to help Thargomindah clean up and get back to normal. The Cunnamulla Branch of NAB has offered $1000 towards feeding anyone from Thargomindah that is transferred to Cunnamulla.

Thargomindah have many events coming up and the best way to get things moving is to continue your travel plans. Book to attend the great events. Stay at the Motel hotel and caravan parks. Fill your vehicle at the servo, buy food from the grocery store.

If you wish to donate do it via the GoFundMe page that will be managed by locals for locals. Acting Bulloo Shire Council CEO Tamie Warner has lead a mighty charge that is just beginning but she has given her assurance that the funds will be properly managed and distributed to the locals.
