Spotted a fallen tree, damaged trail feature, erosion, or another maintenance issue on the Fox Creek Bike Trails?

The quickest way to help our Rangers locate and address the issue is to send us:
✅ A photo of the problem
✅ A map pin or exact location
✅ A Trailforks location link, screenshot, GPS coordinates, grid reference, or similar.

The more precise the location, the faster we can find it.

The 𝗙𝗼𝘅 𝗟𝗼𝗻𝗴 trail is currently 𝗰𝗹𝗼𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝟮 𝘄𝗲𝗲𝗸𝘀 (from Monday 1 June) to allow for major maintenance works, including drainage improvements and berm repairs.
🔧 Update:
𝗙𝗼𝘅 𝗕𝗢𝗪𝗟 will also be 𝗰𝗹𝗼𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗹 𝗲𝗻𝗱 𝗼𝗳 𝗻𝗲𝘅𝘁 𝘄𝗲𝗲𝗸 while crews carry out works on upper berms and trail features.
(Confirmed: it’s Fox BOWL. Other font styles are not official trail names😉)

Locals, please share....

ForestrySA manages a range of public recreation and visitor facilities across the Mount Lofty Ranges, including visitor information centres, trailheads, camp shelter accommodation, picnic areas, cottages and huts.

These facilities require regular cleaning and general maintenance, along with agreed minor repairs and upgrades.

ForestrySA is inviting local small businesses and sole traders in the cleaning and maintenance field to register their interest in providing Recreational Facilities Cleaning and Maintenance Services for Mount Crawford Forest amenities.

SERVICES MAY INCLUDE:
• Routine cleaning of recreation facilities
• General maintenance works in line with agreed checklists
• Minor repairs and facility upgrades, as agreed with Ranger staff

These services would not constitute full‑time hours.

🔧 Trail Maintenance Notice – Blue Groove 🔧
Track maintenance will be underway on Thursday 12 March on the Blue Groove Trail, as preparations for the InsideLine Downhill MTB Club – First Descent Round 1 (Sunday 15 March) are undertaken.

🚵‍♂️Trail Re‑Opening: Climbing Ivy is Back! 🌿

After six years of closure following the devastating Cudlee Creek fires, the 1.3km single‑track climb Climbing Ivy has officially re‑opened!
This trail is one of the last remaining footprints of the original network - now re‑established, upgraded, and better than ever. Corners and switchbacks have been widened to accommodate today’s larger wheels, making for a smoother and more enjoyable climb.
⚠️ Safety note: Please take care on your first few laps - the surface still has loose soil and gravel until we get some rain to help it bed in.
A huge shoutout to Open Trails Australia for their outstanding work bringing this piece of Fox Creek history back to life. 🙌

‼️Total Fire Ban | Wednesday 4 February 2026 | ALL FORESTS CLOSED | Mount Lofty Ranges‼️

Due to the forecast weather outlook for Wednesday 4 February 2026, The SA Country Fire Service has declared a Total Fire Ban in the Mount Lofty Ranges.

All ForestrySA forests in these regions will be closed for public safety.

Where Total Fire Bans have been declared, very hazardous fire weather conditions are predicted.

The Total Fire Ban will apply for 24 hours from midnight tonight to midnight tomorrow. Access to all ForestrySA forests in the area is prohibited during this time.
