Gday shooters,
This Sunday 14/6/26 we have on:

Range 2 - Benchrest centrefire and rimfire 10am

Range 3 - Practical pistol/metallic silhouette 10am

Please arrive at 9:00 for set up, and safety brief at 9:30 for both events

- There will be a collectors meeting 12pm

- Both are great events for any shooter looking to sight in there rifle or just to have a bit of fun.

- We encourage anyone who would like to acquire their Rifle or pistol license to come down, ask a few questions and we can get you on the right track.

- Don't forget, we can sort out a Junior permit for your young ones (12 years old at least)

We also have a couple of Volunteer Range Officers opening up on Wednesday 17/6/26. You will be able to get 2 Longarm and 2 Handgun attendances:

Range 3 - Rifle and Pistol Shoot 9am-12pm

Gday Shooters,

SSAA Mudgee has our Annual General meeting coming up with Lucky door prizes! 18 of June, 6:00pm at Club Mudgee, Room 1.

Please bring your SSAA Membership card with you for entry into the meeting.

An email has been sent out with the Meeting agenda. If you have not received this email, please send me a message with your email address and ill send you a copy.

If you are able to attend please do. Legally as a club we are required to have a certain amount of members to attend otherwise the meeting must be rescheduled.

There will be 2 Pistol matches and 2 Rifle matches (2 attendances each).

Range 3 SAT-SUN - Practical rifle

Sat will be practice day, comp will kick off from 9am Sun, with 6-8 courses of fire depending on attendance numbers.

Gday shooters,

5 stand Shotgun is on range 4 3/5/26

Fees per round:
$10 per round
25 targets per round
Usually 3 rounds on the day

Please arrive at 9:30 for safety brief and set up.

5-Stand has five shooting stands or stations that are lined up in a straight line close to each other. The stands are surrounded by six to eight numbered traps, which throw targets in every possible direction, including from behind, towers, vertical shots and rabbits, with all targets generally converging in an area in front of the stands.

Competitors rotate through the five stands and receive an identical mix of targets in a random order, with single and double targets presented. This provides a real test of a shooter’s ability to read targets quickly and shoot them before they get beyond the effective range of a shotgun.

5-Stand is conducted with a computer and the course can be as easy or as devious as the course-setter decides. One round comprises 25 targets, and because the competition is compact and relatively quick to shoot, it can be very tempting to shoot five or six rounds in a day.

Please try to arrive at 8:30am to help set up with our volunteers and safety brief.

Combined services discipline is primarily based on military rifles and cartridges such as the Lee enfield SMLE 303 rifles or the Kar98k 8mm Ma**er etc but this event is also a perfect opportunity for hunters to practice Prone, sitting, kneeling and standing positions with your hunting rifles (scoped or not)
shooting from 100m to 300m with centerfire (re*****on 700 .308 for example.) and 50m to 100m with rimfire/centerfire pistol cartridge rifles (lever action .357mag or bolt action .22lr rifles for example).

Range fees:
$10 SSAA members
$15 Non members
