Grandmaster Gary Khor is running a workshop on 27th June 2026. In this workshop, people have the chance to apply for the documentary "Living Qi". Grandmaster Gary Khor has been selected to show his journey on how Tai Chi has grown in Australia since he established the Australian Academy of Tai Chi and Living Chi in 1976.

In the workshop, you will learn about Luo Han Qi Gong, Eight Golden Treasures Qi Gong, Tai Chi history in relation to being selected. You will learn knowledge about Traditional Chinese Medicine from Master Aaron Khor.

Tai Chi Walking and Lotus Qigong was taught in a high level of detail that all students and Tai Chi practitioners felt the use of their musculoskeletal systems.
Master Aaron Khor emphasised his teachings on the Anatomy of the Human body in using the lower leg muscles to hold and stabilise the knee and ankle joints. Moving slowly and precise with body, waist and hip movement.

Tai Chi walking is the basic weight bearing and weight transfer movement that relates to the martial art aspects in Tai Chi. It is not simply just walking or using the word "Tai Chi" and putting it in front of the word "Walking". Many AI media is fake and many people do not have the martial arts background to understand what Tai Chi walking actually is in reality.

Lotus Qigong was explored in depth, from the Tai Chi walking stances it integrates with the Qigong exercise as the leg foundations creating stability and postural alignment. The lower legs are always used to propel the strength and anchor the body to the floor whilst the top half of the body becomes light. Yin and Yang is the crucial understanding of this part, not just about balancing.

The Australian Academy of Tai Chi workshop on Qi Power was very intriguing with Grandmaster Gary Khor explaining what and how to feel Qi. Master Aaron Khor taught and explained the functional movements of the human body in relation to muscles, joints, bones, postural alignment, health and how to perform the Tai Chi movements properly.

The learning of the Five Animals was an incredible experience with everyone feeling their body being worked correctly with correct posture and muscle use.

Only at the Australian Academy of Tai Chi will you get detailed teaching, the physiotherapy of Traditional Chinese Medicine Clinic and non-strenuous exercise taught by the Masters with precise and exact precision. The information and detail taught is about how to improve the body not just perform movements.
