๐ A new season, a new committee and some very big thank yous!
As we look ahead to the 2027 season, weโre excited to welcome our new Croydon Junior Football Club Committee.
A special welcome to Marc Oettinger and Michael Ramadan, who will take on the role of Co-Presidents. We know the club is in great hands and look forward to seeing where they lead us in 2027 and beyond.
Welcome to those that have stepped on to the committee for their first time. we appreciate your support and thank you for stepping up to fulfil some critical roles.
As we welcome our new committee, we also want to say a huge thank you to some wonderful people who are stepping away after giving so much of their time to our club.
Elisa Laird, our Secretary for the past few years, has put in an great amount of time behind the scenes keeping the club running. So much of what happens at a community club goes unseen, and Elisa has been at the centre of making sure things get done, week after week.
Sonia Tartaglia steps down as Treasurer after doing an incredible job looking after the clubโs finances. Weโre sure she wonโt miss those early Sunday mornings dropping off the canteen banking facilities ;).
Joanne Floyd who has worked tirelessly looking after our merchandise, with her living room regularly disappearing under piles of Croydon gear as she packed orders late into the night. It has been a huge job and one she has taken on without fuss.
Stacey Eley has done an amazing job managing our canteen โ no small task in itself โ but her contribution has gone well beyond that. She was always willing to step in wherever something needed doing and was a regular at Auskick, helping sign kids in and lending a hand wherever she could.
And alongside Stacey was her trusty 2IC, Alyssia, who was always there helping out, particularly in the canteen, and making sure things got done.
We also want to recognise Lee Jay, who stepped away earlier in the season as she no longer had a kid playing footy. Leanne was an incredibly supportive member of our committee, always willing to help others and jump in wherever something needed to be done.
These ladies have given countless hours to Croydon Junior Football Club. They didnโt just fill their individual roles โ they rolled up their sleeves, chipped in wherever they were needed and supported everyone around them. Community clubs simply donโt run without people willing to give their time like this.
Elisa, Sonia, Jo, Stacey, Alyssia and Leanne โ a massive thank you from everyone at Croydon Junior Football Club. ๐ Your time, commitment and contribution to our club has been greatly appreciated, and we hope you can now enjoy being on the other side of the fence!
To our incoming and continuing committee members โ welcome to 2027! Weโre looking forward to another great year at Croydon.
And weโre not quite finished building our 2027 team! There are still a few committee positions to be filled, so if youโve ever thought about getting involved, and be part of an award winning club, weโd love to hear from you. Whether you have plenty of time to give or can help in a particular area, every extra set of hands makes a difference.
Interested? Reach out to the club and have a chat with us about how you can get involved. ๐
