Some good waves at Sandon Point for the Sandon Point Teams Challenge today- it was hard getting the team organized after a 3 hr swell delay which meant Zara and Dane DeCoque had to step up suddenly after Haydo and Grace had to literally fly north-Sonny Leong got the ball rolling with a good second place in the first heat and Zara followed with another solid second place in her open womens heat-Dane surfs at 3.30- it goes all weekend so good luck to all our surfers.

Due to a clash with the Teams Challenge and people away over the June long weekend, we have made the call to move our next contest to our backup weekend on the 20th June! Entry will open on a week out so keep an eye on socials for updates 🦈

A long day at the Alley today for Event #4 on the Sharks schedule including the Women's Challenger Series.
In the women's Challenger, April Davey got one back by defeating last months winner Grace Gosby with Claudia Kennedy third. April stuck her turns and waited patiently for her waves overturning her semi final second place.
The waves picked up during the day and the Alley bank was good until the nor easter did some damage on the low tide.
In the 10's Michael Lunniss pipped Slater Young with Maya Lily Johnsen third.
Harvey Richards took the 13 crown over Flynn Lloyd and Max Griggs won the 16's over defending champ Alessandro Moretto.
The 45s went to Greg Brown over Fletch and the 60's was won by Smith in the dying seconds over Veage winning by 0.14 ( I was robbed)
The Opens hit the water as the sun was setting and Jay Brown layed down some serious turns to take the prize money from Haydo and Rhys Young. Thanks to everyone for the help judging and packing up.
Plus someone left a surfboard at the beach -Bevan’s got it.
