Victoria Motorcycle Club Rnd 1 done! 🍾🍾
Maddox had an amazing day with the first time the Mini GP bikes have raced on the big track!
With limited practice time on Saturday, Maddy set about posting a good qualifying time while still learning and figuring out the track, lines, gearing and his fellow competitors. P4 had him start on the front row for all 4 races.
Maddys lap times kept improving with every race as he was quickly adapting and learning things that did work and things that didn't. He also learned on 2 occasions that riding on the grass🛤 isn't very fast at all😬
Race 3 was the highlight when he managed to get his very first Race win on his Dilerio 160🏍 after firstly closing down a 4 second gap to the leader, passing for the lead, being passed back again and then composing himself for a last lap attempt to take the lead and cross the finish line in first.
We're incredibly proud of Maddys achievements and more so how he went about his race day with not only his own development, but also with the rest of his fellow competitor mates.
Maddox finishes Round 1 sitting in 2nd overall and we prepare for Round 2 in 3 weeks time.
We want to give a massive shout out and appreciation to Chappy and the whole Minigp Academy NZ for all the work that has gone into these kids and getting them race prepped, and also for getting these bikes into the main game.
