I strongly believe that women deserve to feel strong, confident and worthy in their postpartum body.
Yet somehow, society is still praising women - especially in the public eye - for “bouncing back” after giving birth…
What kind of message does this send to every day mums?
That we are more worthy if we lose weight quickly after giving birth?
We also still see marketing campaigns in the fitness industry aimed at mums using language such as ‘mum bod’ ‘pre-baby weight’ ‘baby weight’.
Mums are incredible. We grow, house and feed a small human for 9 months, our body gives birth to the baby, and we nurture and guide that little person pretty much every second of every day for the forseable!
What postnatal women deserve is this:
♥️A space where they are not judged for the size or shape of their body
♥️ Somewhere they can move their body safely in a way that feels good for them
♥️ A community of mums that makes them feel welcome, supported and worthy.
♥️ A space that lifts women up rather than adds more pressure to load that mums already carry.
Mighty Mums is about helping women to grow in:
💜Confidence
💜 Physical strength
💜 Emotional resilience
It’s about helping mums to feel:
✅ Energised
✅ Connected
✅ Proud of their body and everything it has been through.
