Crib Point Community Donation Drive – New Year’s Day
Hello Crib Point Community,
Tomorrow, our Football/Netball Club and Cricket Club will be hosting a small, community-based donation drive at the club changerooms.
This donation drive is to support three local families who are currently living in temporary accommodation following the recent house fire in Crib Point, which affected three homes and three families.
The families have shared what they need most right now as they come to terms with their situation. We kindly ask that donations are limited to the items listed below.
Requested Donation Items (small items only):
- Hair and nail kits
- Towels and beach towels
- Blankets (large and children’s sizes)
- Toiletry bags
- Suitcases (new or in good condition)
- Laundry detergent, kitchen detergent, garbage bags, dishcloths
- New ladies’ shoes – size 8 (sneakers, thongs, slippers)
- New ladies’ shoes – size 9 (sneakers, thongs, slippers)
- New men’s shoes – sizes 9 & 10 (sneakers, boots, slippers, thongs)
- New children’s shoes – size 5 girls (sneakers, slippers)
- New children’s shoes – size 31 Euro / size 12 boys (sneakers, slippers)
Children’s Items:
- Toys such as Lego
- Craft items (colouring books, stickers, craft kits)
- Games suitable for a 4-year-old boy and 7-year-old girl (e.g. Uno, Connect 4, Trouble)
Preferred Donations
To avoid receiving items that cannot be used immediately, gift vouchers are preferred:
- Coles / Myer
- Kmart
- Target
- VISA gift cards
- Cash donations will also be accepted, and receipts can be issued.
Important Notes:
* We cannot accept large or bulky items or furniture at this time.
* We are also seeking a small bar fridge with freezer compartment for emergency accommodation use.
If you can assist, please message us directly.
Additional Community Support:
The Crib Point Fire Brigade will be in attendance for residents who may wish to chat or ask questions about fire and bushfire safety in our community.
At present, home-cooked meals are being generously provided to the affected families through the Crib Point Emergency Community Freezer, located at the sports precinct and operated by our Football/Netball and Cricket Clubs.
