Help Shape the Future of VOGA

Whether you’ve been riding the Creswick trails (new and old) we’d love to see you at our AGM.

This is your chance to have a say, bring fresh ideas, meet other riders, and help decide where this club goes next.

You don’t need to be on the committee or have all the answers—we’re looking for new perspectives, enthusiastic volunteers, and anyone who wants to help grow mountain biking in Creswick.

Hey team, just a heads up from

From 24 April to 11 May, the Department of Energy, Environment and Climate Action (DEECA) will be completing essential road maintenance works on sections of Djuwang Baring.

The following roads will be temporarily closed:
🚫 East-West Road (western section)
🚫 Ridge Road
🚫 Niggl Road
🚫 Jackass Road (out to Old Melbourne Road)

The following trails will be temporarily closed:
🚫 Southern Trails: S5, S6, S7, S8
🚫 Northern Trails: N1
🚫 Western Trails: W1, W2, W3, W4, W5, W6, W7, W8
🚫 Connector Trails: T3, T4
🚫 Central Trails: C1, C2, C3, C4

The works aim to improve emergency services access and general community access and are necessary to ensure safe and reliable access throughout the forest network.

Hey fellow riders. HSC would just like it to be known that there has been a bit of vandalism on signs on the closed trails where HPV are carrying out works. MTB and Moto riders have been seen riding the closed trails.
Please keep away from these trails, so that the workers can continue their jobs without having to look out for bike riders.
As soon as the works have finished, we will let you know.

Pine plantation harvesting & haulage continues until Friday 6/03/2026.

In the interest of public and worksite safety,
Sections of the trails network are closed.
Some roads between Brackenbury Rd & Jackass Rd are closed.
Signage, barriers, and workplace surveillance cameras are in place to restrict access.

To access the Cosgrave trails, it is best to access from Melbourne Rd > Jackass Rd or Port Phillip Rd > Petries Rd > East-West Rd > Jackass Rd or ride via trails: S3, S4, S5

Good news crew — all gravity trails are back open from tomorrow! 🎉
The only one still out is G3, which copped a bit of motorbike damage whilst it was closed.

Heads up though, there might be some short closures here and there down the track while do some maintenance.

Get out there and enjoy the laps!

Posted • The wet weather didn’t dampen the spirits of our duathletes who came from near (across the road) and far (Mornington and Geelong) to rip around the Creswick trails today!

Congratulations to all who came out and got their bikes dirty today and thank you to our volunteers Jude, Jacob and Nick 👏

Taking home the choccies today were:
🍫1st female - Celsey Adams
🍫1st male - Josh Dew
🍫1st team - Ian & Stephen Gould

And our very lucky spot prize winners thanks to were: Jeff, Xanthia, Celsey, Darren and Emma

Full results will be posted on our website in the coming days!

Our next event is a big one - the Ballarat Duathlon, which will host the Victorian State Champs and Race 1 of the TriVic Regional Series - see our website for more info🏃🚴‍♀️🏃

Great to see using the trails for a multi-sport event over the weekend.

Posted • The wet weather didn’t dampen the spirits of our duathletes who came from near (across the road) and far (Mornington and Geelong) to rip around the Creswick trails today!
