Hi everyone 👋

We’re looking for expressions of interest from anyone in the community who would love to be involved in running a small club at Browns Plains Rugby Union for the upcoming BJRU season.

• Saturday: U6–U9
• Sunday: U10–U16

The season kicks off after Easter, and everything is ready to go — equipment provided and based at Browns Plains State School grounds.

You can take on one team or even two if you’re keen 💪 It’s a great opportunity to support our local kids, build confidence, and be part of something positive in the community.

If you’re interested or would like more info, please SMS me.

Let’s grow grassroots rugby together 🏉🔥

Tribute to Our Coach Kalolo and Mentor

With great sadness the community mourn the loss of not just a coach, but a mentor, leader, and friend.
Rugby is more than a game—it’s about respect, resilience, and family. And that’s what Kalolo represented in our wider community.

Through every training session, every match, and every challenge, he taught youth lessons that went far beyond the rugby field.
The values, discipline, and spirit we carry are his legacy.

We’ve lost a coach, but we’ll always carry his voice in our hearts—pushing us forward, reminding us to stand tall, and to always look after each other.

Rest in peace, Coach Kalolo. You built more than a team—you built a family.

Our love and supports goes to Alicia and Afuie whanau

🕊 | It is with great sadness that we advise you of the sudden passing of one of Sunnybank’s most passionate members, Mick Ramsay.

Husband to our Junior President, Karen Ramsay and father to Gemma and Tate. Mick was such a driven, passionate, enthusiastic, and generous person giving so much time to our great club. He will leave a great hole in junior rugby at Sunnybank.

Junior training will go ahead tonight in honour of Mick. A counsellor and chaplain will be available to our members who are seeking support at the club. To honour Mick, please wear your dragon colours to training to show your support to the family.

We ask you to respect the family’s privacy to give them time to grieve however there are some simple ways show your support. Please change your social media profiles to a Sunnybank photo that means the most to you and also drop your favourites memories of Mick or kind words to the family in the comments.

If you need additional support or you would like to know how to best support the family, please contact Ben Armstrong on 0401588928 or email on [email protected]
