๐ต๐ก 150 SENIOR GAMES โ MATT ALISTER ๐ก๐ต
Today we celebrate a fantastic milestone as Matt Alister runs out for his 150th Senior Game, taking his total club games to an incredible 179 across Seniors and Reserves.
For more than 16 years, Matt has been a mainstay of the Cranbourne Football Club. A dedicated player, leader and teammate, heโs been one of the most reliable and versatile footballers to pull on the yellow and blue.
Former senior coach Steve OโBrien famously referred to Matt as our โbreak glass in case of emergencyโ player. Whether it was at centre half-back, centre half-forward, full-back, full-forward, on a wing or anywhere in between, Matt would simply go where the team needed him most.
Known for his vice-like grip overhead and his ability to read the play, Matt has built a reputation as one of the clubโs great intercept markers and most dependable performers.
Making his senior debut in 2011 โ a year that saw Cranbourne crowned premiers and champions โ Matt has unfortunately had to overcome several serious injuries throughout his career. Had it not been for those setbacks, thereโs little doubt he would already be well past the 200-game mark.
Today, Mr Ever-Reliable will do what heโs always done โ pull on the jumper, give 100%, and put the team first.
We look forward to seeing Matt continue his journey towards 200 games and, ultimately, Life Membership of the Cranbourne Football Club โ an honour he has thoroughly earned through his loyalty, commitment and service.
Congratulations Matt Alister on 150 Senior Games. A tremendous achievement and one the entire Cranbourne family is proud to celebrate.
