Casual Bicycle Assembler & Sales Assistant
About Us
We are a fast-paced, highly customer-focused community bike store. We pride ourselves on delivering exceptional service, getting our community riding safely and answering all their bike related questions.
The Role
We are seeking an energetic, young casual team member. Your main responsibility will be building new bicycles straight out of the box, ensuring they are perfectly tuned and ready for our customers. You will work closely with our experienced staff, learning advanced technical skills on the job while assisting customers on the retail floor. This position offers flexible hours, mainly on Saturdays and school holidays.
What You Will Do
• Assemble new bikes efficiently and safely from the box.
• Learn mechanical skills from senior technicians every day.
• Greet customers with a warm, outgoing attitude.
• Share your passion for cycling with the community.
• Maintain the shop to keep it clean and organized.
• Accept bikes for service and repair.
• Use the computer system for sales, bookings and information queries.
What You Need
• Outgoing personality with excellent communication skills.
• Strong willingness to learn and take on feedback.
• Basic bike knowledge (knowing parts and basic tools).
• Hands-on mindset with good attention to detail.
• Punctual habits and a reliable work ethic.
