Partners, save this one. 👇🏼
After a C-section, you might not be able to take the pain away or magically speed up healing, but there are SO many little things you can do that make those first few weeks easier.

Sometimes support looks less like grand gestures and more like handing over the meds, helping someone off the couch… or quite literally helping them put their pants on. 😂
The little things matter more than you think. 🤍

I think one of my favourite things about what I do is simply being able to help people feel better. 🤍
Whether that’s easing someone’s aches, helping them learn about their body or simply making them feel cared for, I never take for granted that people trust me with their time and their bodies.
I genuinely love what I do, and I love being able to make someone’s day just a little bit better. ✨

Some days, C-section recovery feels heavier than others. 🤍
If today is one of those days, this carousel is for you.
A few simple things you can do from home to help you feel a little more connected to your body, your scar and yourself.
And remember, healing isn’t linear. You’re allowed to have hard days.
Save this one for when you need it, or send it to a mama who might. 🤍

When I first started Flourish, I had no idea just how much it would become a part of my own journey too. 🤍

What started as a passion for helping women has grown into something so much bigger, a space where I get to support women through different seasons of life, continue learning and growing myself, and connect with some truly incredible women along the way.

Something I want all Mother’s to know. There is no magic pill and everything I provide and advise is definitely helpful but Motherhood is a journey with no quick fix. Only time and learning about your new self is what will get you through 🧡

Your C-section shelf isn’t caused by one thing, so it shouldn’t be approached with one “fix”. 🤍
Scar mobility, core function, movement patterns and time can all play a role in your recovery.

Your postpartum body deserves patience, not pressure. Want more support through your C-section recovery? My C-section community is now open. 🤍 Link in bio

Does touching your C-section scar make you feel a little sick? 🤢

You’re not strange and you’re definitely not the only one.

A C-section moves through multiple layers of tissue and affects lots of tiny sensory nerves along the way. As everything heals, your scar might feel numb, tingly, tight, hypersensitive or just plain weird to touch.

For some women, that sensory response can be strong enough to bring on nausea.

It can be tempting to avoid the area completely, but once your scar is fully healed, slowly introducing touch can help it feel less foreign to your body.

Start small. Place your hand over your clothes, or begin with the skin above and below your scar. You don’t need to force it—and you don’t need to love it.

Meeting your scar where it is still counts. 🤍

Ab separation postpartum is common, but there’s so much misinformation around it.
Diastasis recti is an increased distance between the two sides of your abdominal muscles, caused by stretching of the abdominal wall during pregnancy.
It doesn’t automatically mean something is “wrong”, and you don’t need to spend your postpartum recovery obsessing over closing a gap.
How your core functions is what matters MOST. 🤍
If you’re unsure about your recovery, a postpartum assessment can help you understand what’s happening and what your body needs.
