After a couple of days off to celebrate the New Year, we headed to South Australia for the 5th and final round of Speedweek.
Unfortunately, it was not our night. Despite, Roc driving well we just couldn’t get the car set up right and at times felt we were in reverse.
Heat 1, started P9 finished P7
Heat 2, started P2 finished P6
Feature, started P15 finished P13
Some days are just tough but on a positive note, we rolled the car into the trailer each night and always had fun with the crew.

Night 4 of Speedweek at Southern 500 Speedway Portland, was a success. Showed good pace and confidence on the track.
Heat 1, started P4 finished P2
Heat 2, started P7 finished P5
Feature, started P6 finished P4
Now for a well deserved rest and celebrate the New Year before heading to on the 3rd.

It was a hot and dry start to Night 3 of Speedweek at Laang Speedway. Whilst our Chief Mechanic (Dad) was at the track prepping the car, we headed off to Panmure Swimming Hole to keep cool.
Once back at the track, it was all business. With a rough and rugged track, it proved to be survival of the fittest.
Heat 1, started P3 finished P4
Heat 2, started P8 finished P6
Feature, started P9 finished P3
It was great to find our feet and secure a podium for the night.
Off to Southern 500 Speedway Portland for Night 4.

Night 1 of Speedweek at . Pretty happy with a solid start to the week, as historically we haven’t had the best luck at Simpson.

Big weekend for Hughes Motorsports! Saturday saw Roc at Premier Speedway, Warrnambool. Roc started off strong with a heat win but then couldn’t find any pace for the second heat and feature, where he finished just inside the top 10.
Sunday, we were off to Traralgon Motorcycle Club round 1 of the Gippsland Region Motocross Championship. Conditions were difficult with the rain not letting up but Zev rode amazingly and secured a 2nd and 3rd place finish in Moto 1 & 2 respectively. Unfortunately, Moto 3 needed to be abandoned but were happy with a 3rd overall for the day.
Massive shout out to the volunteers and race organisers who always go above and beyond to ensure great days for all participants.
Also, thanks to our sponsors and those who support us every step of the way!
