🌟What a foaling season we’ve had! 🙌🏼🐴

Today we were graced with our last, but not least, filly foal! That’s right… another filly! We’ve been very spoilt with 4 out of 5 fillies this season🩷🩷💙🩷🩷

Canome Lucyanna (ASH) foaled a healthy, strong, leggy, bay filly foal in the early hours of this morning and what a striking sort she is! Sired by our own resident stallion, Peptos Freestyler, she has thrown the bling at every area possible! 4 white socks and a lovely wide blaze that stretches around under her bottom lip! Not sure where all the white has come from but we’re definitely not complaining! 🤩

Now to find another filly name! Any suggestions starting with L is welcome! 😉

We’ve got an early riser! 🌅
This little filly has graced us a week early!
3/4 fillies so far and we’re pretty excited to welcome this flashy, spritely bay filly into our team!💕

Sire: Chansit Rune (ASH)
Dam: GPH Drovers Little Pearl (AQHA)

And to add to the specialty of this filly, she has also been born on the same day as our good friend that’s also celebrating her birthday today, Donna Sinclair, who owns Rune! One way to never forget either horse or human’s birthday anyway… no excuses now! 🥳🤣

4 weeks overdue to the day and he’s finally here…!🎉🐴💙

Jenny (Bank Cook) has finally foaled a strong leggy chestnut roan c**t foal by Granite (Metallic Cat x One Moore Annie) with plenty of bling💎

She sure did bake those long legs so looking forward to watching him unfold over the next few days and stretch those legs out.

A big thanks again to Bellvue Performance Horses, now home of Granite, Trinity Ranch Veterniary Services, Trent Smith & Tracy Lamb, and the amazing Jantien Saltet of Hilltop Equine Veterinary Services in Young and last but not least, for the taxi rides to Young from Giovanna Rossi while we were away for a bit last season, for getting this fella on the ground for us🙌🏼

We’re pretty excited to now have 2 roan Metallic Cat grandbabies, one of each gender! And with top shelf mare power mixed in there!💪🏼o

While we’re STILL waiting for Jenny (Bank Cook) to foal her Granite foal almost 3 weeks now overdue, let’s just admire the cuteness and sassiness of this little ripper!
Her potential name list is narrowing down slowly so if anyone has any suggestions they think might suit don’t be afraid…!🤓

I don’t think I’ve ever been more excited about a foal than I am about this mornings delivery!🤩🎉

Diva has foaled a beautiful blingy roan filly by Shines Like Metallic💕

It’s been a long process to get this special girl on the ground. In 2022, during the massive floods that hit Eugowra and destroyed the town, we managed to get Bodhi to Cowra the long way around with a brand new foal at foot, Trickster, and we started breeding her to SLM. We managed to get a positive 15 day pregnancy but unfortunately she had lost it by the 25th day.
Due to the situation with the floods we didn’t get to have another crack at breeding her again that season. So we tried again in 2023. Still with no luck. The old girl kept having uterine issues when being bred even after treatments.

So thanks to Belinda Staib of BELJAY Performance Horses for being so understanding, we were able to try with another mare, Diva, who is Bodhi’s half sister from the same mare. So we were able to keep it in the family luckily!
Diva was AI’d in 2024 by the legendary Jantien at Hilltops Equine Centre where she conceived twins and Jantien pinched one embryo. My guess is she pinched the right one!👌🏼

So here she is large as life!🎉💕

Many thanks to a lot of people who helped get this girl on the ground for us, Mum and Dad, for babysitting Bodhi the first year we tried, Butch and Evie for the hours of driving to & from the vets with me and especially Giovanna Rossi for doing a couple of vet runs for us while we were in NZ late last year.

It’s a Girl! 💕🎉
Our first foal for the season graced us in the early hours of this morning, and we couldn’t be happier with a cracking big strong filly out of Cracklin Rosie by our resident stallion Peptos Freestyler!
With a tiny little white star and a white off-side hind pastern she’s a lovely bay.

A full brother to Peptos Kracken, this little one will need a cracking good name to keep up the trend! 😉

With 2 more mares due next week, the fun has just begun!🐴

Campdraft season in the Central West has begun for us and after 2 failed attempts at drafting over the last 2 weekends due to rain postponing Molong and Trangie Campdrafts we finally had a good go at chasing some cattle at Cudal this weekend just gone, 4th-6th April!
Chisel & Butch have kicked things off with 2 great runs in the Novice, an 87 to get them in the final then an 89 in the final to claim themselves 4th spot. Chisel is also nominated in the Gem Of The West Novice series award so a great start for the big fella!👏🏼👏🏼
Bodhi, Pepto, Jack and Devil all had a good go but unfortunately with no luck and Diva ran herself an 82 also in the Novice with her little heifer running out of steam before the gate so missed out on a final run.
Looking forward to our next draft out at Geurie Golden Bit at the end of April. Unfortunately we won’t make it back for Trangie’s rerun next weekend as we have to work.
Evie definitely stole the show for our team for the weekend as she had learnt to canter on Friday and there was no stopping her and Nelson from the turn back job all weekend then!💪🏼💕
